Dear Sir,

The Eastern route for the Westbury Bypass is not the most beneficial for the town, being directly opposite all the commercial units, e.g. W.W. Trading Estate and others.

Also, it is in such a prominent position that the proposal to build hedges etc to disguise the traffic is farcical!

By diverting the traffic via the trading estates to the A36, the road could follow the Frome railway line, which has been in existence for well over 100 years, with, as far as I know, no deleterious effects.

So please abandon the old idea and move with the times and give us the bypass which is so obviously appropriate to the 21st century.

Yours faithfully
